Imagine waking up one day in total darkness, unsure of where you are and unable to remember anything about yourself except your first name. Though the Maze seems somehow familiar to Thomas, he's unable to make sense of the place, despite his extraordinary abilities as a Runner. The Maze Runner is amazing. It has such an unique plot. It's full of action, mystery, suspense, and has a puzzle to solve. Throughout this book, I kept on thinking: Who are the creators? Why are they studying the Gladers? I love how Thomas has a curious nature. He questions everything around him, refusing to give in and go with the flow. The slang that James Dashner creates for the Gladers, such as "shuck-face" is the one problem I had with this book. I found the slang unnecessary and hard to understand. Putting that aside, the ending will leave you wanting more!
